I’m sorry for whatever causes you such pain.
Exactly which victims are those?
It’s those investments that create companies that create jobs.

If the the associated taxes become excessive in comparison to other countries, investment in Canada will be reduced & even more jobs will be lost.

Fair or not, that’s how it works & no federal budget can alter that.
In Canada people earning $300K+ have a marginal tax rate of up to 50%.

The wealthiest make money by investing in assets vs salary so their wealth is not “income” until they sell it, when it subject to capital gains tax.

The budget includes an increase in those taxes, however

AFAIK it refers to a reduction in the *growth of direct spending (to < 1%) & operational budget cuts, not transfer payment cuts, roughly $400Mil by the end of the decade.

Our rich uncle just cut us off to the tune of $60 - $100 Billion (ish) yearly - no matter what we do it’s going to hurt.
Oh no, I knew he was away but I never heard why. That’s truly heartbreaking. No words for something like that. 😞💔
Which social programs are being cut I wonder, but I also wonder what portion of the Canadian GDP being lost to US protectionism could be recovered by changes to personal tax rates do you think?
Care to enlighten we ignorant few?

That’s because you’re a prick, Kevin.
Canadian multimillionaire and Shark Tank guy Kevin O'Leary went on TV to say he's upset Zohran won't talk to him: "I and others who invest in real estate have tried to get a meeting to figure out what's rhetoric and what's policy. So far for me it's been crickets."
Curious, what approach would that be exactly?
I’m not sure I wouldn’t rather have a weak PP (which he is) than some even crazier fool that gets away from Carney’s basically conservative budget by going even further right.

Next thing they’ll be waving US flags in the commons and giving Elon salutes.

Sometimes the devil you know…
I dunno, but…

just when we’ve seen the worst politician possible something even more obscene could raise it’s head.

Ask Albertans who justifiably despised Jason Kenny, only to discover that he wasn’t kidding when he left saying “now the lunatics are in charge”.

Still, PP tossed would be lovely.
Feasibility studies are not a bad idea.

Spending $9 Million on one is graft, pure and simple.
We are being faced with a new reality :

We’ve allowed Canada to become “less” in nearly every economic sense by relying on an Uncle Sam who’s now revealed as perverted.

Anyone expounding that fixing this can be painless is… ill informed.

“Ask not what your country can do for you”.
They wrote it I believe in an attempt to save our country from imploding through an inability to climb out from under the economic elephant that just rolled over on it.

One can argue specifics, methodologies for partisan purposes but that is the reality.

A young Tory MP's name gets mentioned as someone ready to cross the floor. He goes to ground and then suddenly announces he is stepping down.
Young MPs just don't quit politics unless someone dumped a political horse head in the bed.

Yup, both have something to prove, who they hire over the winter could tell us a lot about what their expectations are
Me too, rotation looking pretty good right now
Ha!

Nice one!

I’m always expecting cats to bring up golden oldies, never occurred to me to think current.
The Prince bowed to Peer pressure.

If you know much about the aristocracy in the UK, that’s pretty funny.

He makes a decent razor though.
Stats say he’ll be better in his first full year back, but then if there is a lockout…

He’s gambling he’ll have a great ‘26 and either there will be no lockout, or, post lockout will be at least as lucrative is ‘27 would have been.

He must really want this year in Toronto is all I can say.
In Oct ‘27 I want to look back and say “see I told you nothing bad would happen” but I fear I may not get the chance to lie.

Nothing is for certain but I couldn’t see anybody to beat them.
(Norris) or Brandon Morrow, last guess.
