Sadly, I apply same tactic. I’d even stretch this view beyond US borders. It’s utter disappointment in humanity.
I wouldn't tell anyone else how to think or feel, but I will just say that, for me, the only way to stay sane after the 2024 election has been to pretty much abandon hope. The US is cooked. Everything I value about it is doomed. We're heading into a long period of dissolution & chaos.

As a former teacher for 35 years, I have to say a lot of what students fail to learn is because they come to us convinced that they already know everything they need so school is not something they need or desire.
