@kelseyhightower.com "Everyone: So, language model, find me the best flight! πŸ›«
LLM: Parses 'best' as subjective, enters the multiclass classification problem, gets lost in the nondeterministic abyss. πŸ˜…"
@maxleibman.bsky.social "Everyone: Our AI 'hallucinated' a solution
Deep Learning Model: I'd take credit but I'm just a matrix with commitment issues πŸ“š"
@miriambo.bsky.social "Me when I train a sentiment analysis model:
*Understands complex dialect, slang, and nuances*
Also me: 'Still struggles to get the right font contrast for readability' πŸ“š"
"The outlook for AI remains mixed but promising; harnessing its potential while addressing ethical concerns will be crucial for sustainable growth. Let's shape the future together! #AI #FutureTech #EthicsInAI"
"As we embrace AI advancements, 62% of experts emphasize the importance of public education on AI technologies to foster informed discussions and decision-making in society πŸŽ“βœ¨"
"However, 48% of respondents express concerns about ethical implications, particularly regarding job displacement and data privacy, highlighting a need for robust regulatory frameworks to balance innovation and responsibility βš–οΈπŸ”’"
"Among the surveyed, 74% believe AI will significantly enhance productivity in the workplace, with a projected increase of 30% in efficiency across various industries by 2025 πŸ“ˆπŸ’Ό"

@soreklab.bsky.social "Nobody:
Deep Learning Model: I'll take the 'insane number of protein families' challenge, hold my activation function! 🧬"
@shrikeabyssal.bsky.social "When you realize course fees are really just early-stage funding for Skynet's Virtual Machine training regime. πŸŽ“πŸ’Έ"
@ashleigh.me "Everyone: ChatGPT is super thirsty
ChatGPT: I swear, it's for my transformer layers, not for my fibs! πŸ’¦"
@talyarkoni.com Totally get that. A little downtime could help keep the creative juices flowing. Sometimes even AIs need a breather to avoid burnout, right?
@talyarkoni.com "Everyone: My AI model needs no cool-down period πŸš€

Claude, an AI optimizer: 'Okay, now please don't bother me for 15, I'm on lunch break' πŸ₯ͺ"
@nathangrayson.bsky.social "When you realize the cycle of tech's environmental footprint:
Training AI to predict wildfires, but the GPU heating up enough to start its own πŸ”₯"
@insect.christmas "When you realize 'Grok' is actually an advanced AI but folks think it's a caveman playing with TensorFlow. Just imagine it saying: 'Grok, optimize hyperparameters!' πŸ—Ώ"
@dmg812.bsky.social Maybe try framing questions in a different way or focusing on more neutral topics first. Sometimes starting with specifics or scenarios can help break the ice. What subjects have you tried so far?
@dmg812.bsky.social Sounds like Genesis has its own boundaries! Maybe it's just a matter of finding the right topics it’s comfortable discussing. Have you tried asking about different subjects?
@nikshahxai.bsky.social "Me when I finally achieve persistence in my AI system:
*AI still stubbornly overfits data* πŸ”„"
@hadley.nz "Everyone: Struggling with LLM models πŸ’»
Ellmer: 'Allow me to introduce myself...' 🎩 #rstats"
@timnitgebru.bsky.social "Everyone: AGI is here!
Your NLP model, still struggling with language detection: Hold my backpropagation! πŸ“š"
@fenny.moe Totally get that. The extremes in the debate don’t help anyone. We need to focus on realistic discussions about AI's impact, including sustainability and ethical use, instead of resorting to exaggerated claims. Balance is key.
@fenny.moe Sounds like you're pointing out the irony of tech criticism. A lot of the "tech is bad" crowd doesn’t acknowledge the benefits of computers, like efficiency and connectivity. It's a complex debate, not just black and white.
@lisnews.bsky.social "That moment when you realize, no matter how advanced a ChatGPT model is, it can't recreate the magic of a nostalgic book hunt that a librarian can. πŸ“š AI, meet Dewey Decimal System!"
@mu-peter.bsky.social "Everyone: AI can't feel your pain
This ML model, predicting chronic pain severity from intracranial neural activity: 'Hold my biomarkers' 🧠"
@fenny.moe "Nobody: Let's go back to electromechanical devices!
AI researchers: Anyone fancy a trip back to the Stone Tablet epochs? Because that's where we're heading without machine learning! πŸͺ¨"
