The only step left is to stick together and bind the four remaining sticks with the notch in a X at top and bottom and the lantern 🥰
Offering the lantern in this way makes it a not only easier to transport.

I usually drill a hole somewhat below the middle of the sticks we are going to use to stabilise our lantern in the final steps, cut out the rest and file a bit to achieve the notch in the middle. Two more holes at the end and we are good to go!

Usually the point within the lantern crafting where I start panicking, is when I have to cut a bunch of wood and drill an infinite amount of holes into it with my crappy equipment because this takes FOREVER. But not this time! This time I got lucky and my dad was so kind to help me ❤️

After drying comes gluing! Followed by more drying of course 😅
Each print will be hand glued to a 0,2mm thick transparent foil. This gives it more stability and prevents the paper from being damaged easily. 😊
