Feminism, but body horror. Honestly, this was surreal and just pulled me in from the beginning. It's definitely one for fans of unnerving movies. This one is definitely not for everyone.

Overall, great performances from the cast! Cinematography knows when to make things look surreal, normal, or unnerving. mixed with a subtle score that does its job well, and this is a great piece that makes you think about the existential inevitability of aging, especially from a woman's perspective and how society treats them once they're deemed no longer marketable and it's sickening, but that's the point.

another Natasha Preston preston novel. Another anxiety ridden day! The Twin had me knowing what was happening before the character did, but it just added to the gut punch of the ending.

Overall, the teenage angst helps make this story feel like you're along for the ride and helpless to do anything about it. It's easily one of the better Natasha Preston thrillers, but one that's going to traumatize me!

DNF'd Hook by Emil6 Mcintire. I can handle spicy romance, but this felt cringy. ai might finish it some other day, but Cap'n Hook railing Wendy feels so.... wrong.

Overall, the characters and the story seemed interesting. This one is on me, honestly. I need to rewire my brain to stop picturing the characters as the kids their based on.

You Shouldn't Have Come Here by Jeneva Rose was a great thrill ride! It had me guessing every step of the way until it hit me with that surprise ending! I loved it!

Overall, what could have been easy worked into a cozy gish out of water romance became an intriguing thriller that kept me on my toes, especially with the two main leads having povs so you never knew whos the unreliable one!

I'm not the biggest fan of forced proximity tropes. I do like some of the author's other works, so I gave Next of Kin by Hannah Bonam‐Young a shot. It was cute, but definitely not for me.

Overall, the two pov helped tell a good story about foster care, which I haven't come across often, but it's characters were relatable and I did find myself invested in their story a little more than their romance.

I freaking love this show! I got my wife into Vox Machina and and now we're both highly anticipating the final season!

Overall, well written, masterfully voiced, and with enough action, romance, comedy, and plot to draw anyone in, keep in mind this is an adult oriented show, but definitely woth checking out, especially if you love D&D

My first Kazuo Ishiguro book and it was The Buried Giant. I could see why this one is a bit divisive. This has deep themes and a fantastic setting, but it meanders a lot, and I found myself just waiting for the ending as opposed to enjoying the adventure.

Predictable story despite the topical themes. Overall, it's a good story hidden under pages of naval gazing. I loved the characters, but the story just strolls through at a snails pace. The deep themes and fantastical elements kept me going to its predictable ending.

I knew I missed one! Your Place or Mine was a cute, by the numbers romcom that felt a little hollow, but still managed to be cute where it counts.

Overall, it's a fun date movie that has its weird moments but is overall pretty cute.

Ah! I've been excited for a while to finally get i to Tea You at the Alter! I love this series by Rebecca Thorne! It dances a fine line between cozy and epic fantasy, and I amchere for it!

Rebecca Thorne delivers another adorable romantic adventure with plenty of laughs and action to keep me hooked! Overall, it's a wonderful time, and I feel like I'm catching up with old friends every time I pick this series up!

Finally got around to The Three Body Problem by Cixin Liu. I will admit, I am not smart enough for this! 😅 The way it goes hard into theoretical science and astrophysics is way above my knowledge. That said, the story itself is pretty straightforward despite dragging a bit after the beginning.

I almost DNFd this one, but I'm glad I kept going because, wow! That ending! I can't wait to continue the series! Overall, it's very heavy on the Sci-fi and despite the characters just being there to do things, they never feel robotic or wooden, theyre just human enough to keep me invested in what's going to happen!

Just when I think I've got the Natasha Preston formula cracked, she up and throws a wrench in it! The Lake was what Five Survive should have been. It's a bunch of young adults doing young adult things, but that mystery looms from the very start and ends in such a surprising way!

Overall, a fresh thriller from Preston that doesn't overstay its welcome.

Am I a sucker for adorable romcoms? yes. Is Abby Jimenez fueling my love for them? Also, yes. Part of your world is a by the numbers romance that would fail under any other writer, but her characters have a combination of wit and heart that just makes me want to live in this world!

Overall, Part of Your World is another laugh out loud silly romcom that has plenty of heart and characters that I would absolutely be friends with! Heartwarming story and the ability to pull you into every scene, and not too heavy on the 🌶 Abby Jimenez, is easily one of my favorite slice of life authors!

Five Survive isn't one of my favorite Holly Jackson books, and after The Reappearance of Rachel Price, it didn't live up to that hype for me, mostly because it kind of just becomes teens being teens and could just as easily have been a slice of life novel until the action happens, and even then...

The action and story feel very made for TV thriller. I can easily picture this on the CW. The main character is good but definitely carries the entire weight of the story on her shoulders. it feels more like a Natasha Preston novel, but it runs a little too long compared to hers. Overall, a decent thriller that could have benefited from being a little shorter.

Alien: Earth was a fantastic return to form! The finale felt a little on the goofier side, but it wasn't enough to ruin the show for me! it's intense all the way through, and between this and Romulous, the Alien franchise finally feels scary again! I'm excited to see where this goes!

Overall, it's filled with fantastic acting, amazing cinematography, and a well written story that ties well the original Alien themes and pushes the franchise into a whole new direction!

I love A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, though the series tapers off after the first book, This one, though, might be my favorite book since that first one!

The Reappearance of Rachel Price by Holly Jackson had me guessing every step of the way!!! It's phenomenal, and I couldn't put it down! Overall, a fantastic thriller with twist and turns that had me at the edge of my seat!

I was hesitantly optimistic about this one. On the one hand, I love James Gunn movies. On the other hand, his movies tend to be about misfits and generally chaotic but with a lot of heart. Who knew that was the Superman movie I have been waiting for my whole life.

As a Superman fan who genuinely grew up believing I had to do good in the world for the sake of just being good, I looked up to Superman. It's who I wanted to be. Then DC killed him, made him edgy, and it was this whole thing where the character was lost, and no one knew what to do with him anymore that made me distant. This movie brought that child-like wonder back. It reminded me of the reason I strive to be a better person. Not because of some duty or anything, but because we as humans should do better, we're in this together, and we should be there for one another. Be good, just because.

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. Now on to the review:
Special effects were great, the acting was good, the score and soundtrack, as always, Gunn hits it out of the park. The story was amazing! for once it's not Superman vs. realestate. Overall, a phenomenal movie that has become my instant comfort film and has brought back my love for Superman.

The Final Strife by Saara El-Arifi pushes the limit of what a slow burn story should be. It's not bad in any way, though some things are pretty heavy-handed, but it didn't bother me. What did was how it loses focus and drags, especially toward the middle, but the end is absolutely worth it!

Overall, a long story that loses focus until the end but is filled with fun characters that tell a unique story in a fantasy setting with interesting magic systems!

Amulet book 3! The series continues to get better as the stakes grow higher!

Dynamic art and wonderful storytelling! Overall, it's a great children's adventure graphic novel that'll keep kids and adults hooked!
