Here's an iceberg meme image for anyone who wants to scour for references! A few might not be listed on this though.

According to Deku's profile in the Fighters Megamix Official Guide
"The body with the big face has no consciousness that could be called sentient, and its 'true self' is hiding under the hat." The word Deku also means something like wooden puppet, implying the bird is in control.

Although Crossworlds isn't technically one, there are 6 Sega series with a presence in every Sega Crossover game: Sonic, NiGHTS, Samba De Amigo, Space Channel 5, Super Monkey Ball, and The House of the Dead. I wonder which of Sega's own Perfect Attendance Crew will make the cut?

Anyway, Sonic 1 was not actually released on June 23rd. So when Sega says today is his birthday, they must mean that today is the day he hatched from an egg. (Did you know hedgehogs are one of the only mammals to lay eggs?)

Sorry to make this about me but reminds me of when I did this

Everyone who likes Sonic should follow this account so you become aware that there was an official giant Sonic inflatable balloon that makes a noise when you smack his nipples with a ball
theghz.bsky.social
Manufactured by heavy arcade gear maker Tasko, it features a giant inflatable Sonic with pressure points that, when hit with a ball, produce sounds.

Expertly placed pressure points, as seen in this image from the original patent application.

What kind of sounds? We can only speculate.
Illustration from the original patent application showing the pressure points on the giant inflatable Sonic. There are four total: one in each of his eyes and two right where his nipples would be, because of course.

Hair is a slow process

It took me a while to warm up to Psychonauts 2, but I feel it really hits it stride when you get to the PSI King's Sensorium, although it's still really good prior. Weakest point is the combat, really dislike mapping 8 actions to 4 buttons (more like 7 to 3). Other than that, a fantastic experience.

I was always curious about the Etrian Odyssey series but after playing them, they're just not for me. I do like the idea of mapping out the dungeons being a part of the game play, I just don't have the patience for that and worrying about the magnitude of every encounter anymore.

Phantasy Star 2 had a bunch of interesting ideas. Although I personally don't like it overall, I like the idea of it. Those dungeons are just too labyrinthine for me though, so I had to put it down after finishing a few of the dams

I got all the Mega Man Classic and X on a sale and it was a fun time going through all of them again. I personally don't ever expect to replay them for the rest of my life so it was a nice little final hurrah of sorts. Was surprised at the quality of X8 and IV and V of the Game Boy games!

All the video games I finished in 2024. I think the only games I played that were released this year were Mario Wonder and vs Donkey Kong! Kinda nice to close the book on Monkey Island, loved the original but I agree with its message about dwelling on the glory days and when it's time to move on.

Alis Landale model still progressing!

Also heard from someone I know who really likes the Lunar games that he greatly prefers the dungeons of Sega CD's Lunar 2 to the ones in the PlayStation version. Didn't realize some overall design decisions were that drastic

Would be interesting to play the Sega CD version if you haven't to see the differences if you're gonna play the Remastered version later anyway!

Alis Landale references for this model. Thank you Phantasy Star fans for putting these on the internet.

Commissioned @sakusculpts.bsky.social to sculpt Alis' base hair. Also started some texturing work.

The other GHZ account is run by the original creator of the site and is one of if not THE progenitor of Sonic the Hedgehog games and Sega research documentation on the internet. Swell guy.

Got her sword, shield modeled. Starting hair which I'm no good at, better start getting good.
gunyentony.bsky.social
Got a bunch more stuff modeled, and I think all that's left is her hair and her shield. I thought maybe the sword was kind of small but after referencing all the art of her with a sword, it seems to be the correct size. Guess she's more of a short sword user!

Bean the Dynamite is an enigma. First of all, what is he?

AM2 boss Yū Suzuki and the official JP Sonic Jam guide book call him a duck. Specifically, "ahiru," or domestic duck, as opposed to "kamo," or wild duck.

BUT he's called a woodpecker in the official JP Fighters Megamix guide. 🧵

Got a lot more of the armor done today. Those ornate patterns take a lot of work! #phantasystar
