The Guardian had to apologise today. A production error gave the Melania review one star when the critic actually intended zero.

😂😂😂

Must read.
After this swam into my brain last night (unbidden, if you will, but clearly there are neural pathways that divert here at the slightest nudge), it occurred to me that a few people may not have experienced it. Put that hot drink down. Now. Yes before you start reading.

Mandelson may have the unusual distinction of book-ending 30 years of Labour history:

Taking a leading role in getting Blair as PM in ‘97 and a leading role in getting Starmer removed as PM in ‘26.
Sex and money. Been scrambling people’s brains for thousands of years.

#Epstein #Mandelson
The amazing thing about Mandelson is he thought he could get away with a high profile role like Ambassador to the US, the very country where Epstein was from, at a time when Epstein’s crimes were being exposed.

He’d got away with it before, so why not again?

The very definition of hubris.

Nigel Farage is going to "save pubs" by cutting 5p off the price of a pint of beer...

The £3 billion cost will be funded by reinstating the two-child benefit limit.

This might be the worst policy anyone has ever come up with.

There’s a moral void at the center of the Mandelson-Epstein affair that shames more than the chief protagonists

Last night, GOP Senator Rand Paul went on national TV to flatly reject DHS's lies about the Pretti execution:

"My advice to [DHS], if they're watching:

If you come into [our hearing] and try to justify that [Pretti] was assaulting a police officer, that cannot be acceptable."

He was a Prince.

He wouldn’t have been able to keep secret any contact with Epstein’s trafficked girls.

People in the Palace will have known. Not necessarily the Royals themselves, but the flunkeys.

They’re covering it up, even now.

Tonight’s, predictable, dream.

I’m working on a tender for the European Commission in Brussels. Something to do with tariffs - not my area but I’m blagging it, urged on by a middle aged French EC official . She reminds me of Françoise Pascal.

I wake at 11.53.

A version of this might be real.
Tonight’s weird dream. I’m checked in to the Intercontinental Hotel in Nairobi. Only they can’t find my reservation. I run around the hotel with all my luggage following ever more senior staff as they fail to find the room because the room numbering system is messed up.

I wake up at 12:43.
Tonight’s dream kicked in early.

Playing football in Kenya with Wayne Rooney. There was a lot of skullduggery going on.
