Statistically speaking, the best way to combat any illegal voting there may be is to encourage more people to vote, not fewer.

Man, Spurs fans are over it. Someone needs to fix this team.

I'm surprised so many conservatives care about the Superbowl halftime show.

I was told they were all boycotting the league in September 2016 after Colin Kaepernick quietly knelt in protest of police violence against Black Americans.

Did they cancel that super effective boycott and I missed it?

I think more than I should about the - mostly apocryphal - stories about WW2 fighters being stranded on remote islands and believing, decades later that they were still fighting the same war.

The GOP is fighting a war that has been over since at least 1990.

Everything is politics. And any break with Trump from the GOP will be a strictly political decision.

That’s why protest matters. That’s why demanding accountability matters.

Once the scale tips, it tips fast.

Our only real hope is for his own party to send him to his political end.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but nothing stops Clinton from holding a press conference to say everything to the public.
Trump and Republicans are now blocking Clinton from testifying … predictable! When their bluff gets called they scurry into their corner like rats!

The NFL’s strategy is clear and the reasons are obvious:

Play overseas to try to develop a new pool of players and fans, because…

-Their fans are mostly older suburban males
-Youth participation in the game domestically is plummeting.

They have to restock both fans and players.

Not white enough for her now?

The NFL is only 27% white.

So she’s fine with people of color doing the violent labor but draws the line at the halftime show?

There’s a word for this.

100% correct take. Sports are business. Business is political. Whichever societal lever has more power dictates the political appetite of the league.

Business knows Trump is toxic and fleeting.

Major sports in the US need a global audience.
Nothing delights me more about the NFL halftime show than watching global corporations quietly undercut the MAGA fantasy. The NFL wants international eyeballs. MAGA wants “America First.” In the end, money always beats nationalist bullshit.

I’m going to start class tomorrow with this:

The New England Patriots have lost more Super Bowls than any other team in history.

And it will be an hour-long discussion about information literacy and manipulation.

Did Bad Bunny just give his Grammy to Liam Conejo Ramos the poor kid who was kidnapped by ICE? If so amazing

The sign beforehand said "Conejo" on it too

There are millions of people, and an entire political party that disagrees with this.

Wrap your head around that.
The ending to Bad Bunny's halftime show:

"The only thing more powerful than hate is love"
"Together, we are America"

Fact , Trump has made more money this year as president than he has his entire life.

And technically , he should not be making a dime.

Other than his presidential salary.

These fuckers are, collectively, the weirdest people on earth. And we’ve given them so much power that they are trying to make their batshit worldview real.

Horrifying.
RFK Jr on what he'll eat during the Super Bowl: "I am on a carnivore diet so I just eat meat and ferments, and I'm very happy with that. So I'm probably going to have yogurt."

Gated suburban communities, private cars, and pay-to-play VIP experiences are all precursors to the Billionaire Problem.

They create fantasy worlds that allow their inhabitants to ignore the rest of humanity, so they learn to treat others with disdain and hostility.

That's why cities are liberal.
