Fair enough. It's hard to see how we turn the tide against the current centralisation of wealth, but we definitely need to work at it
It won't be easy, but you can't look at one of the foundation stones of the whole problem and just shrug and say "that's too hard". If we can't stop the global kleptocracy, we have to find a way for the money they siphon out of our country to be adequately taxed.
I'm unclear about the consequences of the Gaza deal. If it holds, do Israel's leaders get a free pass for their genocidal acts? How long will it have to last before their slate is wiped clean (longer than 9 days, I'd guess)? Or could they still be charged by the ICJ in any case?
Oh Mr Trump, before you book your ticket to Oslo...
You're right in that the changes we need are immense. But rebalancing taxation - and preferably also rebalancing INCOME, such as returning the ratio of CEO pay to average worker pay to something like it was 30 or 40 years ago - is a vital first step.
And at least one was cancelled after he brought out his...
He's the best remaining Keaton, for sure.
A lot of debate currently about whether Prince Andrew should remain a Prince. Yet nobody's asking whether he should be allowed to remain an Andrew.
It's easy to forget that the evening is about family and friends, not the band. But for me, the only live option that's better than a DJ is a ceilidh or square dance band, so long as your family has enough personality to go for it. Everyone from grannies to toddlers can join in.
Good start, Your Maj.
Ultimately, of course he should strip him of all titles and privileges and let him face the consequences of his actions.
But wouldn't it be a bit hypocritical after so recently having lavishly hosted another of Epstein's accomplices?
What can the King do about Prince Andrew scandals?
What sanctions could King Charles apply to Prince Andrew after the latest claims about links to Epstein?

I watched my team in the old 4th division as a boy. I watched them get promoted to the Premiership. I quite like sitting down as I get older, and I don't miss having to dodge the streams of piss flowing down the terraces, but otherwise it's no more fun and certainly more stressful than the old days.
It worked for it before. Ten years, then let someone with new ideas revive it again.
The hallucinations of AI are one thing. The hallucination by politicians and business leaders that computers have leapt from being dumb slaves to actually better than experts in a single bound, that this idea sausage is corporate haute cuisine, is far more worrying.
One of the great comedy-dramas of British TV, and shows what a loss it was when Davies started focussing more on adaptations at the expense of his original ideas.
It's going to be hard to take Starmer's (and the BBC's) focus away from Reform, but hopefully being threatened on his other flank might drag him back towards democratic socialism, rather than trying to out-right-wing-autocrat Farage.
You just know some Mediterranean or Oriental chef is checking this out thinking, "they look delicious!"
I was a Green member, but cancelled it when they didn't even bother to put up a candidate in my seat at a GE.
I'm wary of "charismatic" leaders, from Farage to Johnson, from Corbyn to Polanski, but the Green offer is looking very tempting as a throw of the dice in bleak times.
Tomorrow - and the following 3 days - are not promised, except by British Gas.
First of all, "capitalise", LOL.
Secondly, maybe "respond to"?
@dogowisdon.bsky.social just catching up with your ketchup episode, and we English don't call dacking "flobbly-bobbly" (that's actually a sexual act most common in boarding schools). That would be silly.
It's "de-bagging".
Funded by Soros bad, funded by Musk good?
Give them stripes - but which to go with, lengthways to make them seem longer, or roundways to make them seem thicker?
Well, endless ads, but it is YouTube after all.
