The incompetence of Starmer's Labour succinctly exposed by Jamie Driscoll.

The farce of Labour's behaviour could be taken out of a Monty Python script.

I wrote to my Labour MP about the retrospective change to the 5-year path to settlement for care workers, amongst others, who are already here, which is deeply unfair. I got back a standard lot of drivel which didn’t address my concerns at all. And people wonder why politicians have a bad rep. 🤬

Re the retrospective nature of the govt’s new migration rules for people on care visas who are not yet eligible for ILR, is there a chance of judicial review along the lines of the 2008 HSMP vs Secretary of State judgment which struck down an attempt to backdate new rules?

Some of the people in this article have shared their recollections with me before - but on condition of anonymity. Coming forward now is an act of patriotism. Farage’s claim that it never happened is the opposite.

It was genuinely moving to hear Lord Dubs on Radio 4 this morning, talking with compassion about refugees—such a refreshing difference from the vile rhetoric we heard in the Commons yesterday.

Not in my name, Starmer.

Well done, Labour. I mean, really. You’ve fucking outdone yourself this time.
Congratulations Labour, this fucker makes Farage look welcoming to immigrants.

The Guardian: Starmer braced for backlash from Labour MPs as Mahmood sets out asylum plans – UK politics live

If the backlash amounts to anything more than a handful of backbenchers, then I just don’t see how Starmer can survive. And nor should he. This is a disgusting policy.

Mahmood’s right about divisive rhetoric damaging the country. The problem is that they’re actually buying into it and giving it legitimacy. I’m utterly sickened by this.

Horrifying.
It appears that our Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, has been inspired by Kirsti Noem - and finds her to have an “under appreciated intellect and eye for detail” and is now following her lead.

Isn’t that just utterly horrifying.

Of all Starmer’s picks for cabinet, she has to be the worst.

I don’t know about you guys but I’ve spent most of the day feeling slightly sick at the thought of what our so-called ‘Labour’ government are planning to do on immigration.

For Shabana Mahmood to attack some of the most cruelly treated people in the world as having won a "golden ticket" because they manage to get to and claim asylum in Britain is unforgiveable.

A new, far right, low for which I can think of no precedent, by any UK Government.

From The Sunday Times: “The home secretary argued that for too long those being granted asylum have ended up spending a lifetime in Britain. “

What the actual fuck?
