The texts were a politically incorrect joke from The Office. Yes, in poor taste and offensive and the voters considered all that and judged Republicans worse for all that they have actually done.
Dem politicians are weirdly silent when it comes to criticizing Trump’s foreign policy. They know it’s ok to bash him on that as well right? The Venezuela buildup and now these Nigeria threats is loony tunes stuff.
Again, no idea what point you think you are making. Everyone rightfully hates him. He still won a lot of Democratic votes in this race. The point I was making was that in a two person race Mamdani wins a much greater share.
My guy, he’s got at least 850,000 votes and a majority of those are from Democrats who have voted for him at least half a dozen times. What point did you think you were proving?
Pretty foolish attempt at trolling. Mamdani won in a three way race running against a longtime Democrat with tremendous name ID and years of positive favorability with Democratic voters from all ethnicities. In a two person race against a traditional Republican he cleans up and you know it.
Plenty of wedge issues and stories like these to micro target on for next year. Throw the kitchen sink at the electorate. There’s something for everyone to hate on.
NY centrists are invested in selling Cuomo as something other than what he is to justify supporting how he governed for all those years. But he did some “progressive” things!
It’s starts with Dems realizing it’s not their job nor in their interests to save the Republican party. Rather they must see it weakened and destroyed as an effective political party.
The downside is that the GOP would certainly go all out to try to consolidate a one party voting state with their preferred voting reforms. And I think in the long term that this still a net positive.
It’s also not a new concern considering the NYT had the same reservations about Eric Adams in 2021. Yet, the elites and demographic the NYT caters to were largely supportive of that campaign.
Have to hand it to Moulton. Most elected Dems don’t have the guts to make that claim. Trump’s in the files and he’s protecting either himself or his rich friends.
