Some freakish clouds on our morning run today. Apparently it was the #SpaceX launch in Santa Barbara (~400 miles south?)

This list is embarrassing for the author and the demonstrates why we need social healthcare.

Tinkering with a fundamentally flawed system is a pointless exercise, maybe a way to pretend to care while protecting the status quo?
What should be added to the bill for protection:
1. Any cash purchases apply to deductibles
2. Intercompany charges from providers must be at Medicare pricing (end MLR gaming)
3. Drugs must be priced at net during deductible phase
4. Declaration that drug rebates are paid by sickest patients

Can’t believe we haven’t scored.

Everton fans still singing and home fans (tourists?) sitting in silence

#Chelsea are a shit anti football side. Fouling constantly and wasting time with less than an hour gone. No wonder their fans are so quiet, sounds like they’re asleep.

We’re having some joy down the right hand side, but being let down by O’Brien - not his fault, he looks like a CB playing out of position.

Move garner there at half time and bring in Tim or Dwight in the middle

Stamford Bridge is so quiet, I can only hear #everton fans.

#chelsea aren’t afraid to kick players… would be nice if the referee punished them at some point

Cole Palmer blatantly trips Jack Grealish, all leg and no ball.

Commentator: Grealish goes down under pressure from Palmer

They could at least pretend to be objective

A winning manifesto, but it will face pushback and disinformation campaigns. You have to take it directly to people, be unapologetic and stay the course.
Democrats know this and are trying.

Robert Reich's list of 10 things Dems must pledge:

*Eliminate Trump tariffs
*Break up monopolies
*Fight for unions
*$20 minimum wage
*Affordable housing
*Medicare for all
*Help with child care
* Paid family leave
*Universal basic income
*Tax the rich

Sam Altman: hey I made a machine that stole literally all your stuff in order to make CSAM of your child actors, sometimes it encourages people to kill themselves

Disney: Holy shit here's a billion dollars

Altman: the machine loses more than that each week but thank you. Soon it will become god.

Can’t speak highly enough of our gaffer. I’ll never have a bad word to say about him. Moyes gets the club and he’s only getting started. With him at the helm I think better times are heading our way. I truly hope he wins a trophy for us to cement his legend status with us. #Everton #EFC

January 2024 (vs Fulham)
November 2025 (vs Man Utd)

Healthcare is a solvable problem, the people we elected don’t have the will to solve it.
We spend twice as much per capita on health care as almost any nation on Earth. We pay the highest prescription drug prices in the world. 85 million Americans are uninsured or underinsured.

Republicans — pathetically — have nothing serious to say about the health care crisis.

Sadly, I'm kind of used to >1700 dead after flooding in SE Asia & it not being high-profile in UK news.

But potentially 100 000 under evacuation orders in USA & it's still barely registering. We have normalised the climate crisis so quickly (BBC don't mention climate)

Our bad take of the day comes from Mark Cuban.

Medicare already serves every American over 65 and does it fairly well. National healthcare gives bargaining power to the govt.

Cuban knows that European countries do this and pay FAR LESS for the same treatments and have better outcomes.
For all Universal HC/Single Payer/M4A advocates.

What do the biggest, expensive hospital chains do. Do they opt out and only serve the rich ?

Who in the USA gov runs the program?

R U ok with having to see a primary care doc before you can see a specialist ?
