I've always wondered because there are a couple of places on the south side that one would have a very comparable view. Both the 81 and 83 road (Goat Marsh, Ape Cave, Red Rock Pass areas) could have been the location, so I've always been curious.
First time I've read the tale that mentions the 26 road. That adds up with what I know of the forest roads around the mountain and the view beyond the Pinto. Learned something new, thanks!
I've read many versions of Mr. Lasher's adventure 5/18/80 (none of which have told me 'where' of all the forest service roads this photo was taken), can't wait to read what you've got on it.
