zohran's campaign has done a really good job of making one imagine that living in new york comes with a constant threat of running into the guy like he's goro majima

I was unaware the wiki for this franchise has an image caption referencing the Papyrus sketch that’s fucking hilarious

It rocks that the closest thing there is to romance in Ghost of Yotei is whatever the hell is going on with Atsu and Lady Oyuki

‪Especially since one of those sequel hooks is just straight up “what happened to Sam and Quorra”‬

Tron Ares: [has two different sequel hooks]

Me: that’s really hilarious, I hope you make it as a franchise but I do not like your chances

A beautiful looking and sounding movie (thanks NIN) otherwise wasn’t great wasn’t terrible. Leto is just such a distracting flaw. Athena and Ares switching places would’ve made it more fun for me but I am a lesbian so that’s a given.

Also Callie Yellowjackets was in it???

Another magical moment in Capitol Hill (locked eyes with a hot butch who walked by as I was eating my burger)

Ivanna Sakhno is in Mighty Nein which means there is a 100% chance she’s voicing Astrid

I just think Atsu and Oyuki should kiss #GhostofYotei

So cool that whenever someone asks the president, “did you eat the Lindbergh baby” he’s like, “no but I’d be allowed to, I have the right to, I might do it later”

by chance we paused on this frame and I read the text of the article which is how I discovered the real punchline to Senator Gary Channel (R-Florida) and his whole insane family values conservative thing
Screenshot from Drive Away Dolls of a newspaper article about the fictional Senator Gary Channel (R-Florida) who was shot outside a lesbian bar while carrying a human head and plaster penises. Buried in the text of the article is a mention that he was indicted in 1994 for sexual assault and criminal sexual abuse for a relationship with a 16-year old campaign volunteer, which evidently did not impact his political career or image as a family values conservative whatsoever.

During development, I was told, one of the biggest games in the world featured at least two female Asian characters. By the time the game shipped, one of them had been replaced by a quirky white, male NPC.

You would not believe how many stories like this have been popping up over the last ~5 years

Not just full games cancelled—entire characters and plot lines removed or changed, leaving less time for making the *rest of the game better*, to try avoiding a small and malicious contingent of voices.

SCOOP: Last year, Ubisoft cancelled an Assassin's Creed game set during Reconstruction. Was to feature a Black Assassin who, among other things, fought the rise of the Klan

Sources: Leadership nixed it over concerns re: U.S. political climate, backlash to Yasuke

Thing is (and this is part of why it’s been so disruptive to a bunch of dev cycles)—even if you wanted to treat those complaints as valid, they’re *always changing*

If someone is coming to video games and artists doing interesting things in them in bad faith, you can never do enough to satisfy them
