Chinese tech hardware is aaaaamazing. Checked out the Huawei Matepad Pro 13- inch tablet yesterday. Its on-paper specs put Samsung Galaxy and Ipad to shame. But it's hobbled by subpar global software support (Harmony OS is notoriously not upgraded outside China) and the US Google blockade.

As a graphic novel writer-illustrator, I find it counterintuitive to type a "screenplay" script. I'd rather map it out visually & clean + rearrange panels into a lettered dummy like a manga-style "name." Would agents/editors consider reviewing gn's in this format instead? @debbieohi.com

I've never found a USB-powered or portable drawing light pad bright enough to shine through 300 gsm watercolor paper, until a literal light bulb in my head: those flat LED vlogging lights work in a pinch. Blinding!!!

Besides the songs, a graphic novel would translate the fun action-romance-fantasy vibes for a YA+ older audience, plus its lighthearted tone. That's my takeaway, anyway. I've been clamoring for a project like that for years!

2020: told my girlvibes YA fantasy romance graphic novel pitch about a girl with a magical sword and a literally unicorn boyfriend, and similar concepts, have no place in publishing. It's a "Babysitters Club" middlegrade world.

2025: bet every kidlit agent gonna MSWL Kpop Demon Hunters.
