Time for Starmer to go. He’s not listened, he’s failed, he’s unpopular. Why wait any longer?

What’s caused this? Giving politicians a good grilling makes good TV and is clippable for social media, so something you’d imagine would be desirable. Presenters too pally, same social circle? Worried big names won’t appear on their show? Lack of resources behind the scenes to do proper research?

I suspect this started with the Brexit referendum. As in no politician has really pitched to the professional managerial class since David Cameron, despite it being a proven vote winner up until that point. Surprise ref result seems to have politicians thinking they’re more adrift than reality.
On the morning of Keir Starmer's conference speech here's a new post on an odd psychopathology in British politics - our main parties don't like the people who vote for them - the dreaded Professional Managerial Class. And so they are acting out like a divorced dad seeking cooler voters. 1/n

The Republican restrictions on free speech are following a well trodden path. Farage and Reform will do exactly the same here is given a chance.

We all knew what Trump was, but even I’m genuinely surprised by how fast the US has slid into fascism. Nothing is out of the question now.

The EBU need to investigate where along the average, votes for Isreal came from: 1000 people voting 20x or 20000 voting once. Simple fix maybe to reduce the number of votes per person. Even simpler fix, kick Isreal out. #eurovision

This should quite obviously force the EBU to address how to deal with Isreal. All well and good saying no politics in Eurovision, but that televote for Isreal is political. #eurovision

Depends who’s the largest party. If Tories, then they would almost certainly get Reform to remove some of their edgier policies (Farage is more Tory than some party members). Question would then be Ref. MPs loyalty to the brand. Most certainly couldn’t be called born and bred Reform, so could split.

Anyone writing an option piece anout Europe having to adjust to US president who is clearly an idiot?

The old playing chess with a pigeon meme. The US is being run by someone as thick as plank (and this time surrounded by people equally as dense) and no one quite grasps it.

Quite obviously in Ukraine’s interest to blow up Trump as one of Putin’s acolytes. They’ve done a good job of that so far.
