Often said that anti-THR policies hand the market over to criminals. Except IMHO advocates for banning don’t care. They tick their own legislative boxes and hand the job over to law enforcement. And then blab on about ‘cracking down’ on organised crime. Sorted.

Groups like @who.int are calling for governments to tax #safernicotine products at similar rates to #cigarettes, but the latest Global State of Tobacco Harm Reduction Briefing Paper says this could have devastating consequences for #publichealth.

Vietnam's government-owned domestic tobacco industry produced 184,00 metric tons of tobacco in 2022. Vietnam globally is the sixth largest producer. Vietnam has banned vapes and HTPs. Protect the kids? No. Protect domestic industry? Yes. In case some of the 46% of males who smoke decide to switch.
