I really loved some parts of 'Avatar: Ash and Fire's, but also didn't take to some other aspects. But Colonel Miles Quaritch is probably my favourite character, for the things he represents that mirror everything that's wrong with the world today. Here's a little rambling paragraph I wrote.

DELIVER ME FROM NOWHERE: What moved me about this film was the way it shows, without a load of sentimental corn, how writers work, drafting and redrafting their material. It's also about how beautiful things--music, books, poetry--emerge from unhappy times.

Can't believe I didn't realize that Mia Goth played both Elizabeth, and Victor Frankenstein's mother. Which makes even more sense for Victor to become infatuated with Elizabeth from the first moment he sees her.

Went to see 'Frankenstein' directed by @realgdt.bsky.social at a beautiful independent cinema with my Mum and brother. I was absolutely floored by it, it's such a beautiful film to look at, and a cautionary tale of how a lack of empathy makes the world a worse place.
