The Andor characters really feel like a head and shoulders above the rest of Star Wars for me.
I love Han Solo. And for the 80s I think they did a good job of making Leia/ Carrie Fisher a badass. But imagine what we could do with that character in 2025.
I love when student journalists break a crazy story, especially about their own school. This one is extraordinarily macabre. www.uscannenbergmedia.com/2025/10/01/u...
The continent that’s basically just the Rockies, Sierras, and Cascades would be where the dwarves live. Mountain dwarves in the mountains (obv) and hill dwarves in the valleys.
They’d supply nearly all the precious metals and iron for the world
Oh for sure he didn’t know. And there would be nothing wrong with throwing out breadcrumbs in AGOT and then never coming back to them, or mildly retconning, etc.

They are the most interesting, most mentioned low-lord level House in ASOIAF. Something is up
BUT THEN I remember she comes out of nowhere to be featured in KotLT stories in Storm, and Barristan is still day dreaming about her haunted violet eyes in Dance.
GRRM had chances to let her fade into the mists of time and refused.
Sometimes, in my darkest days, think to myself maybe Ashara was just a weird red herring from early in ASOIAF to throw us off the scent of R+L=J, or one of GRRMs early series false starts (like Tyrion doing cartwheels at Winterfell, or Theon and Robb being bff’s, but not until Clash)
My approach to hobbies is to buy the absolute cheapest gear you can, then try out the hobby/activity and also get a sense of what you’re looking for in gear.
Then if it turns out you love the thing, save up and treat yourself to something noticeably better.
