My statement after voting for a bipartisan agreement to reopen the federal government and give Congress a way forward to protect health care for Granite Staters:

President Trump claimed that he would cut electricity prices in half within a year.

My new report shows that, in reality, Americans in almost every single state are facing higher electricity bills this year.

Open enrollment for health insurance on healthcare.gov has begun.

Yesterday I spoke with doctors, health care leaders, and Granite Staters about the work we need to do to ensure that everyone can access and afford the care they need.

The Trump Administration is trying to illegally dismantle protections for students experiencing disabilities and walk back 50 years of progress. I’m pushing the Department of Education to halt these harmful actions and stop undermining the protections families have fought so hard to build.

Open enrollment for health insurance through healthcare.gov starts today – and some families are seeing their monthly premiums increase by more than $1,000.

I need my colleagues to work across the aisle to reopen the government and also ensure that every American can get the care that they need.

Open enrollment for healthcare.gov starts tomorrow, and some Granite Staters will see prices rise by more than $1,000/month.

Today at White Mountain Community Health Center, I heard from health leaders about how this surge in premiums hurts families.

This is what New Hampshire families are seeing when they log into healthcare.gov.

We are running out of time to prevent these price hikes. We need a bipartisan agreement to reopen the government and protect people’s health care.

If you buy your health insurance on healthcare.gov, prices for next year are now available.

Sadly, many Granite Staters will see prices that have more than doubled. There's still time for Congress to act to prevent these surges & save access to health care.

On National First Responders Day, we honor the men and women who put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe.

Thank you to first responders in New Hampshire and across the country.

Seven years ago, 11 people were murdered in an antisemitic attack at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh.

No one should ever feel unsafe at their house of worship. We must continue to stand up and denounce hate and bigotry wherever we see it.

Today I spoke with doctors and other health care providers at New London Hospital about the urgent need to prevent health insurance premiums from skyrocketing for tens of thousands of Granite Staters.

Families can't afford this.

Illegally moving special education to the Department of Health and Human Services takes us back to a time when people with disabilities were treated as patients and second-class citizens - rather than individuals seeking equal opportunity for learning and independence.
Breaking news: The Education Department is looking to move a $15 billion program supporting students with disabilities out of the agency as it works to close the agency altogether, a department official said.
Trump administration seeks to move special education to different agency
The move would affect the $15 billion IDEA program and comes as the administration seeks to close down the federal Education Department

Ensuring that every child gets a great public education is critical for future success – which is why the Administration’s cuts to special education supports are catastrophic. I was grateful to hear from NH families and leaders working to support students with disabilities today.

Granite State families are already dealing with rising costs everywhere they turn. The last thing they need is for their health insurance premiums to double. We need Republicans to work with us to reopen the government and protect affordable health care.
October 19, 2025 at 8:15 PM
Families need us to reopen the government AND tackle skyrocketing health care costs. The two are not mutually exclusive, and we need a bipartisan agreement to get this done.
October 18, 2025 at 3:35 PM
Small businesses are the backbones of our communities, but will face skyrocketing premiums because Congressional Republicans refuse to lower health care costs. I’m working to find a bipartisan solution to reopen the government and protect health care.

We’re now in the 3rd week of this government shutdown. I’m working to reach a bipartisan deal to reopen the government and protect health care.

What’s Speaker Johnson doing? Refusing to even call the House into session to address this crisis.
October 16, 2025 at 8:56 PM
I’m focused on finding a bipartisan path to reopen the government and lower health care costs. Families are facing a potential doubling of their health insurance premiums – the damage this will do to families across NH and our health care system is real.

Russell Vought should resign.

Two years ago today, Hamas terrorists launched a horrific attack on Israel. It is a day that lives in infamy, and we cannot forget those who were lost:

I’m going to keep working to find a bipartisan way to reopen the government and stop health care costs from rising even further.

People are facing a spike in health insurance premiums that may cost thousands of Granite Staters their health care.
