Hey so if you need to call the IRS this tax season, don't expect anyone to pick up.

" The IRS provided 1,771, which out of a total special agent population of about 2,100, means about 84 percent of its agent workforce was detailed to ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations

The Democratic Plan to “Reform” ICE Misses One Huge Thing
We are no longer talking about individual law enforcement agencies, but rather a giant, singular blob.

Every once in a while the internet becomes that truly silly delightful thing it once was. Like this.

An update, month and a half or something after my fall over a lifted sidewalk element: a thread:

Homeowner says they don’t see any problem. City requested more info, I suggested they drive out there and look at it, then sent them 11 well-marked photos from all angles as well as GPS coord. 1/?

Looks like the 1st and 2nd amendments are only for ICE and the people Trump owns (i.e. everyone who works for him) and not for anyone else

I am sickened and horrified by the killings in MN, it’s just a matter of time before ICE/MAGA takes it elsewhere. WE ARE NOT SAFE.

Look, if the man says he’s not going to do something, that’s your warning because he’s going to absolutely do the thing he said he wouldn’t do. Enthusiastically, even.

He’s a lying liar who lies.

And, if he says he’s didn’t do a thing— he definitely did, enthusiastically and proudly.

Jesus fucking christ everything is transactional with this guy in a really, really, really toxic way

Really sad to hear of Bob Weir’s passing. He was my favorite member of the Dead, just edging out Phil Lesh. My heart goes out to his family.

We all saw what happened. A mob of violent people attacked the police and invaded the building, intent on hurting or even killing lawmakers. You can’t gaslight that away.
No amount of gaslighting will convince sane and rational Americans that we didn’t see what we saw on January 6, 2021.

Let’s cut through some of the bullshit and lies…

Finishing washing and blocking— I made this vest 15 years ago, I think? One of the first things made once we moved in after building the house. I loved the afterthought pockets and buttons! Pattern is Button Box, yarn is Cascade 220 sport. Don’t mind the mistakes, it’s handmade #knitsky 🧶

Here’s a fun one— I finished this double-knit cowl (self-drafted pattern) on Jan 1 2026, cast on Jan 5 2025 and put down for most of the year. It’s been washed and is laying on the drying rack with the Christmas lights cycling through the colors in the window adjacent. I thought it looked cool!

SIT REP: my city does a bad job of maintaining sidewalks— tree roots push up sections & make them dangerous in the dark & rain. Case in point: yesterday, I faceplanted over a lifted segment. My hands are cut & bruised, my shoulder & back wrenched, my gear damaged. Today: very sore!

And that’s a wrap on the Thanksgiving running things! I don’t know how I did, as far as time goes, and I don’t care. I got a little pie today, all for me, and it’s my favorite autumn flavor! #running 🏃🏼‍♀️🦃

One Turkey running thing down— it was chilly and misty and real pretty at Portland International Raceway with the Christmas lights and whatnot. Caught up with my Hood to Coast teammate and we walked most of it chatting.

@wyden.senate.gov @merkley.senate.gov Y’all have never seen ANY of the Charlie Brown cartoons— the republicans are Lucy, the promise is the football, and you are NEVER going to kick it because she will keep snatching it away from you.

Don’t be a schmuck! KEEP STANDING UP FOR WHAT’S RIGHT!!

Had a productive day— opened the office for our carpet cleaner guy, bought $71.44 in food items to donate, went for a walk, closed up the office, finished a hat project, decided to make more hats and donate them with the food items. Have a list of hygiene items to get next to donate.
