AI is killing jobs, the internet and soon the economy (when the bubble pops).

There's no wonder technocrats are building island bunkers. They know people are gonna wanna flay them when the shit hits the fan.

I am just sick to the back teeth of dealing with the mess stupid people make and cynical fucks who take advantage of it.

I'll never understand proudly admitting "I have no regrets"

Understandable as a coping mechanism, but what that says to me is "I've never made a mistake, I've never had to learn anything".

I have a drawer full of regrets, almost all of them based on how I've treated people in the past.

Zootopia was a purposeful and perfect allegory for the Drug War and nobody can tell me differently. Even if the creators themselves tried to tell me otherwise I wouldn't believe them.

TFA, TLJ and ROS make the Empire a laughing stock.

Andor makes the Empire genuinely scary.

Wife and I got Ice Cream. Sat on the bench watching these teenagers hanging out in the parking lot surrounded by strip malls, restaurants, a main road and more parking lots.

The sprawl in this country is horrific.

This is where I grew up - made me feel immensely lucky looking at those poor kids.

The entire Ghibli ethos is tied up in the idea of craftsmanship. It's a textual subject of the films (hand carving violins in Whisper of the Heart, for just one example) and the meta work that goes into the films themselves. Their films feature hard workers, and are animated with sweat and tears.
Amasawa Seiji carves a violin at a workbench in the animated film Whisper of the Heart. Kiki takes a hot dish out of the oven in the animated film Kiki's Delivery Service. An old man with bushy mustache and a robe eyes a precarious tower of building blocks in the animated film The Boy and the Heron. Horikoshi Jiro, seated on a tatami floor in a traditional Japanese room, works at his drawing board by lamp light in the animated film The Wind Rises.

An Overlord's Day - #Technofeudalism 2040

It's really hard not to make tech-industry bosses seem like absurd supervillains because that's just what they are. This is actually what they believe.

Here's a little writing tip. If you want your audience to take a situation seriously, then the characters in your world should take the situation seriously.

If your characters don't take it seriously, the audience won't either.

Amazing eh?

You can thank Joss Whedon for putting us on this road.
