Veteran rock musician Bob Weir, the Grateful Dead’s rhythm guitarist who helped guide the legendary jam band through decades of change and success, has died at age 78, according to a statement posted to his verified Instagram account on Friday.

I remember asking someone who grew up during the Pinochet dictatorship in Chile at what point did he realize he was living in a dictatorship? He said at some point when he was young he realized what the government and media was telling him wasn’t what he saw in the streets. Always stuck with me
