During August and September members of the New Zealand Medical Assistance Team (NZMAT) deployed to Samoa to support the response to a dengue fever outbreak. Leading the mission was Ministry of Health, working with Samoa’s Ministry of Health to plan how our health experts could best assist.

Kia ora Sophie, at this stage, we have not received any applications on the use of psilocybin for treating ADHD. If an application is received, it will be assessed by Medsafe.

From February 2026, general practitioners and nurse practitioners will be able to start medical treatment for adults with ADHD, following decisions by Medsafe and Pharmac.
