thank you! i have kind of wondered about doing art stream just to see what it would be like, but i would definitely need to build a new pc first (i've been putting this off for soooo long) before attempting to stream anything. and i guess i would need to look into buying a new microphone too 🤔

i need to drop by and say hi during one of your streams one day! i've watched a few of them before, but i tend to be more of a lurker than a chatter 😅 streaming also seems like a nice way to get your thoughts out. not sure if it would suit me personally, but i enjoy listening to other people talk!

i think i'll definitely look into a making a little blog on my site though. something where i can just spill my ramblings in my own little corner without having to worry about a word limit or follower count or whatever

like it's fine every now and again but i don't like how it's basically the norm at this point. i just wish having a proper little blog + rss feed was more commonplace (yearning for my livejournal days)

yep... i said it in another reply but trying to find a good balance is also quite hard, i think. i don't want to isolate myself completely from everyone, but also like you said, no platform really feels like home so it's like... what do i do! it's difficult when sns feels so focused on microblogging

it's a difficult thing to balance because i don't want to completely isolate myself and become a total hermit, but on the other hand i just can't be bothered with it all sometimes. and like you said, the amount of hate and everything being wrapped in 50 layers of irony really doesn't help either.

but then again, i think a good part of my dissatisfaction might be the whole microblogging aspect of it. maybe it's a skill issue on my part. i've been thinking for a good while about setting up a blog on my website and just keeping my other social media for art uploads and other creative stuff.

stuff like being unable to properly softblock people, being able to see other people's block lists (albeit via third party means), the stupid "rude" tags and other stuff on user profiles, etc... and then there's the moderation issues and more recently the new content guidelines and it's just blehhh

i've heard of wiping down your utensils (bowls, whisks, etc) with lemon juice to get rid of any potential grease can also help with making meringues, but yeah not heard of the copper thing before
