"I wasn't staring... just looking," Jayce said, her head turning shyly in Viktoria's direction. "You are very generous with your attention. It's given so fully that your body cannot help but follow suite," Viktoria said with a smile. "That's how I knew." "Is that so?" she asked. "Yes. That is so," she stated. "You are quite like the sunflowers over there." "If I'm heliotropic, does that make you the sun?" Jayce said, her voice mellow, but with something timid underneath. Viktoria laughed, propping herself up on her elbows so she could better see her companion. "What a ridiculous notion." "Oh, I suppose you're right," she conceded. Viktoria tried to ignore the way her heart dropped just a little at her response. It was a silly conversation after all, nothing more. "Perhaps," Jayce continued. "I am more like the tides. And you are my moon." "Don't you mean the moon," she quipped. "No. I don't think I do." Jayce hummed to herself before plucking a few blades of grass and beginning to braid them together.
