every now and then, i'll mess around and make something that is more densely layered than usual.

while the process can be a huge pain in the ass, seeing everything come together shape by shape brings me so much joy and satisfaction 🙂

i am more exhausted than i expected.. jet lag and the general fatigue of traveling is now hitting me like a truck 😅

i’d love to pick up where i left off and just gogogo, but i’ll be taking it easy for a bit

took a break from *everything* all of last month due to traveling and other things which was nice for a while, but at this point, i’m so eager to get back and lock in.. but probably after i recover from all the traveling 😅

ive come to the realization that social media may never be much of an enjoyable experience for me unless i get over my reluctance to connect with others

however, i’m not sure how much i’m willing to do that 🙂

not sure what to say about this one, mostly cause i feel a bit lazy to recall the experience and have brain fog atm

but

words are powerful and sometimes it makes working on typography somewhat of a vulnerable experience for me, even if the type doesn't make sense

tbf i've always felt this way, even as a kid, but i never felt like i could express it out of fear of being made fun of for being weird or overly serious about funny shapes.. that and just not wanting to be more unrelatable than i already am

made from bits and pieces from previous sketches.

as much as i like the amount of detail/layering in this collage, i don't have the mental capacity to do this all the time 😅 at least not yet anyway(?)

in any case, it was a great compositional exercise to stretch my mind.

i was visualizing a butterfly in my head while making this.. a general idea of one at least.

something about the wings, symmetry, patterns, all kinda stood out to me at that time
