Today is the National Park Service’s birthday! 🥳🏞️

You know what would be a great birthday gift? Not firing staff or cutting funds from the agency responsible for keeping our public lands pristine and accessible!
Happy Thanksgiving, Colorado! 🦃🧡

Robin and I are heartbroken to hear that Sen. Faith Winter tragically passed away last night.

Faith was a true public servant. She helped create Colorado’s paid family leave program and led the effort to invest in our roads and communities.

Today we had the honor of welcoming new U.S. citizens at a naturalization ceremony in Denver.

It’s easy to lose sight of America’s original promise of justice and freedom when we see so much division in our communities and politics. But we can’t give up on the fight towards a more perfect union.

Horrified by the shooting in downtown DC today. Our hearts are with the families of the National Guardsmen who were killed in this act of violence.
Breaking news: Both National Guardsmen who were shot near the White House have died, officials confirm. They were from West Virginia.

D.C. police say they have the suspect in custody.

Stretching back to my mayor of Denver days, we’ve always tried to make service a part of our Thanksgiving.

Thank you to the Denver Rescue Mission for all the work they do to help community members in need.

Working families deserve health care that is universal, affordable, and accessible.

Electricity costs are soaring while the Trump admin guts clean energy projects.

Colorado families shouldn’t have to foot the bill for Trump’s broken promises.
Americans are paying 11% more for electricity than they were at the beginning on this year.

And these rising electricity prices means more people are unable to pay, so more people are getting their power shutoff.

Average electricity costs have risen 11 percent since January, more than three times the rate of inflation.

Senator Kelly is one of the most honorable public servants I know.

This is intimidation from an administration that is terrified of people standing up to them, and being held accountable.

Climate change is making the drought in the West and natural disasters worse. We can’t wait four years to address it.

Our Inflation Reduction Act was a historic start, but our communities need more bold action now.

On January 1st, millions of families will see their health care premiums skyrocket when the ACA enhanced premium tax credits expire.

That’s 39 days away. Republicans need to work with us – and fast – to fix this looming health care crisis for working families.

You can’t tell working families that the economy is booming when they’re struggling to pay for rent, health care, and groceries. What happened to Trump’s promise to lower costs for families and create more jobs?

These are symbols of hate. Even tolerating these symbols shouldn’t have been a consideration.

Hate and bigotry have no place in our military branches or in America.

The Trump administration turned a Durango family’s dream into an American tragedy.

Our office worked day in and day out demanding answers from ICE and advocating for this family to be released. They refused.

This is bone-chilling rhetoric. Trump’s words are not how we deal with disagreements in America. Will Republicans condemn these threats?
Trump is calling for the six Democratic lawmakers who urged the military not to follow any illegal orders to be arrested, and he’s reposting replies saying they should be hanged and calling them terrorists.

Trump could have released the Epstein files and held Epstein’s associates accountable months ago. Instead, he tried to suppress them until he realized Americans weren’t backing down.

Trump needs to sign this bill and release the files already.

Now it’s time for the Senate to vote to release the files. Or, you know, Trump could just use his authority to release them already.
