-but of course Sanji doesn’t know this. Cue Sanji spiralling because he needs to stay professional and he’s happy Zoro may have found someone but fuck he’s only ever seen Zoro laugh like that with *him*. And he isn’t quite prepared for the harsh sting of jealously that flares-

Since I like cliché jealously tropes I kinda wanna make it that the moment Sanji realises that he’s absolutely head over heels for Zoro is when he sees Zoro actually laughing with someone else at one of the mixers. In reality Zoro’s laughing after recalling something Sanji did-

Sanji’s a hopelessly romantic love counsellor who has a near perfect record with starting/saving his client’s love life but can’t find love himself vs. Zoro who thinks love is kinda dumb and a waste of time and only goes to Sanji to repay a debt to Nami.
