Now on the #stacked #westcpastipa from @BuxtonBrewery - sat in their #taproom in #buxton

Lovely stuff. Very smooth, especially for a #keg #beer

Front fruity tasting, with a hoppy follow-up. I fear I’m beginning to sound like I know what I’m talking about!!
Mate (Karl) brought me to this pub specifically to taste this beer. It’s very Burtonised, however this makes it sit quite nicely on my tastebuds.

The old @kirkstallbrew #virtuous goes down well. Especially after the week I’ve had!
That replica is a cheap attempt at a classic, in my opinion. They've just copy/pasted the same design from the front to the back. The original shirt has quite a nice back design - shame they looked over it when they designed this "new" version. Bring back Elgren, I say! :)
My weekend begins with my favourite non-m62 corridor bitter. Tiger “Copper Ale” presented at the Cherry Tree is an amazing representation of Everard’s best. Highly recommended.

I’d tag em, but they’ve quit the X cesspit place. Might need to consider doing the same.

Not sure tbh. I find some quite sweet, which I’m not really comfortable with. Probably the opposite of your tastes, reading your post.
#Jarl by @FyneAles - A lovely refreshing tipple for a lazy sunny Easter Sunday. Fruity and light, with a slight hoppy aftertaste. What’s not to like? Highly recommended.
Popped into the Braybrook Brewery tap room for a cheeky #pilsner yesterday. Lovely and rich, tasty tasty.
#burtonale by @thornbridge

I’d never understood what a “Burtonised” ale was until I drank this. Very forward tasting and definitely one to be respected. This one slowed me right down, which is probably a good thing to be fair.
#1838 from @thornbridge

This is interesting. It tastes far stronger than the 4.5% ABV it claims to be. It definitely is a grower - probably not at its best immediately after a decent IPA.

This, IMHO, makes it a very good contender for the session beer of the year.
Next up was #steadyrollingman by @deyabrewery

Hazy Pale Ale. Nice and refreshing; a punchy start but a nice follow-up with a tasty full body.
A bit late, but here it is anyway. #radioactive #worms by @azvexbrewing

Hazy IPA. Very fruit/hop forward (I worry I’m beginning to sound like I know what I’m talking about!). A refreshing hit, after quite a punchy forward taste. A very pleasing, palatable pint.
Despite the quality of this pint, I’m ashamed to now admit that Castleford is dead on a Friday night. Even with a Super League game going on, and the crowd being an almost-obvious customer base, everywhere seems dead

Pontefract, on the other hand…
Last few before we head home tomorrow…
Some of my memorable sightings from this last week, during our holiday on the Isle of Mull. The Golden Plover was a particular highlight … a lifetime first for me. 1/x
I keep promising myself that I’m going to give it a go in there…
Is that York? What the hell have they done?
Ever the optimist!
I was always told that if you can count the number of swigs you’ve had, then it’s a good, well-kept pint.

Quite impressed with this one. Quite light, yet fruity and fresh. Very smooth. The glass trails when drinking it show its quality.

@redwillowbuxton #wreckless

I’d have another! Hell, yeah!
Lovely. Nice and smooth…. However, this is not quite “Cherry Tree, Market Harborough” standard.

@everards1849 #tiger

Don’t get me wrong, it’s bloody lovely, but that Cherry Tree sets a high standard with their presentation of this beer!
Double hoppiness and loveliness. I’d have another one of these!

@peakales #dpa

Smooth and fruity, with a hoppy bite. I can imagine getting battered from this!
