I'm just saying, there IS a difference between TERFs and transmeds. Namely that most transmeds are trans themselves and most are not hardline about certain issues anymore.

Peoples' reactions when they learn I'm a transmed speaks for itself, really. Like it's not just the people you'd assume we call "trenders" anymore, even binary trans people are absolutely vile to folks who don't embrace the self-declaration + affirmation model.

You forget that the active difference between TERFs and transmeds is that TERFs do not believe people should transition at all and call trans healthcare "experimental", whereas transmeds all agree that it's lifesaving healthcare for a serious medical condition.

I'm just saying, deplatforming transmeds and kicking them out of support circles hasn't helped anybody be safer, just made it so people with different experiences and viewpoints on transsexuality are more isolated than even before.

No, transmedicalism means that we believe gender dysphoria is the baseline requirement for medical and legal transition. Like the definition isn't as restrictive as it used to be.

They're trans if and only if they experience distress and incongruity associated with their assigned sex at birth. Doesn't matter if they're binary or not; gender dysphoria is still the baseline criteria.

You see, you're wrong there because the difference is that TERFs legitimately do not want people to transition AT ALL, while transmedicalists believe medical transition is vital for alleviating gender dysphoria.
