On our half-day today,we are watching G Willow Wilson’s inspiring Ted Talk on creating Ms Marvel, the importance of seeing ourselves in our heroes, and being bold. Also - the new Poison Ivy annual is absolute fire - parallels the Arthurian legends in a new and beautiful way. A must read. @gwillow.me

Well... this morning I was interviewed by an organization in Switzerland on how I build community and empathy in my classroom - podcast out soon. I was then so motivated to submit my entry into the Disney contest centering on integrating imagination in the classroom. Here’s hoping!

I was 12 the first time I read this comic. Mutants have always been a lesson in the dangers of being the “other” of being isolated. The lessons in comics like these resonated with me, stayed with me, and helped me understand that which wasn’t be talked about.
