It's incredible that Richard Harrison got to be in not one but two iconic scenes

What happened in Bondi was shitty and awful and all the worst people I know are going to be insufferable about it
December 14, 2025 at 10:49 AM
Again not at the theatre but on Disney+
December 14, 2025 at 2:54 AM
This is probably the genuinely most interesting thing I've learnt about the movie, and I am actually interested in seeing how it plays out

Shrek's on Ozempic

The four genders

Also look at this thing

I've read the Kickstarter page four times and still have no idea why you would want one. You can pick up a second real smartphone for less from a more reputable brand. Hell, I have a drawer full of old phones that I could use if it comes to it
December 13, 2025 at 8:43 PM
I keep seeing ads for the P-Phone which is a shitty $200 wi-fi only "phone" designed to be used as an immediate backup if you lose your regular phone

The Kickstarter asserts it would be incredibly useful in such a situation but also implies that you should carry both devices on you at all times?

Also Daniel Craig looking a lot like Mads Mikkelsen in this movie
December 13, 2025 at 3:47 AM
I liked it more than Glass Onion, and Glenn Close and Josh O'Connor (who I am unfamiliar with) are fantastic in it

Wake Up Dead Man is real good

The only blemish to this experience was a wannabe comedian who yelled out that the movie sucked to everyone waiting outside, and that I went to see it not with my usual movie going group but with my friend and his housemate who days later discovered was stealing his property and pawning it off
December 13, 2025 at 12:15 AM
Fast & Furious 6, opening night with a crowd really really into the movie. I remember waiting in line outside while the previous session was still playing and just hearing the reaction to the surprise cameo at the end. Also we were behind a guy who looked like Redfoo from LMFAO with two girlfriends
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

Strangely enough now I have to urge to watch The Way of Water again (which I actually really enjoyed)
December 12, 2025 at 7:55 PM
I'm just bringing this up because in the group chat he's already trying to work out when to see it so he can factor in the expected crowds
December 12, 2025 at 7:42 PM
When this happened the last time he was like "lol so you're going to wait for Disney+?"

Yeah that's the plan

I wonder if I can again stunlock my friend when I tell him that I have no interest in seeing the latest James Cameron Avatar movie in theatres
December 12, 2025 at 7:34 PM
The Sesame Street Muppets give me such joy if I had to deliver a secret package and it turns out to be cookies for the Cookie Monster I would probably cry
December 12, 2025 at 7:59 AM
In the finale Cookie Monster and Oscar the Grouch show up for some reason and it was honestly the highlight of the entire season
This has been one of the more aggressively dull seasons of the Amazing Race I've watched in a while
hjrethuan.com Hj @hjrethuan.com · Sep 26
1. Curious why it's Europe only this season
2. Way too many former Big Brother housemates in the cast
December 12, 2025 at 7:56 AM
To be fair it's a pretty close resemblance
December 12, 2025 at 3:56 AM
So since this I have:

- Moved my big cats to their own corner of the map
- built a dedicated building for polar animals
- built another building for avian exhibits and moved my existing birds there
- put aside land for a future building for cave dwelling animals

I have put 92 hours into this game
I also realised that instead of boring old squares I could reconfigure my animal enclosures into more interesting shapes so there's another hour or so dedicated to this bullshit

40% don't recommend you use this airport, the only international airport within a 2100km radius
December 10, 2025 at 7:15 AM
This would make a great live action movie starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt
