after the main climax it mellows out again, though i didnt raise my volume back up, instead i kept it, barely hearing, and i think it adds to it
it produces a vision of someone or thing very tired, going to rest, after a long day, the climax is the catharsis of starting to rest

the ending is sleep.

long piece! almost an hour!
very relaxing drone that swells beautifully near the halfway point, i had my volume circa the double of my usual to properly hear every detail of the sound, and the huge increase in intensity gave me a bit of a scare

3 this track spends some time on some very quiet moments, goes to a good chunky drone-y section and then, clean guitar, that for some reason makes me think the endings of those home made movies or animations that use the full range of audio/vision to tell a story. listen to this release... please...

1 this is the most unique drone doom metal ive heard in a while, reminds me a bit of Earth 2 (Special Low Frequency Version) but it has this extra high end that makes it just so... ill-intented
2 gave me some vibes close to Colossus, those drums are the cause, its just so huge... i love it

heaviest tracks yet, something about the tone of the guitar is so, off, its like very VERY, full? its hard to explain, the tone of the guitar has this octave-y feel to it which makes it just so, BIG and ENCUMBERING, this release made me think atlas letting the world fall and break in pieces.

all of the redherring./rh. reviews come from listening from the bandcamp of the project, it includes all tracks, unlike the youtube channel, that is now used for the Piranesi. project (which could also get a series of reviews) (it also has its own bandcamp steamhappy)

5 not quite jazz, though i cant exactly place what genre this is, very nice slide guitar, feels still very pretty
6 another slow piece, its quiet too, this is something special, its just so, []. that feeling.
7 a medley of all the more active tracks! Good Morning and Good Night!

1 oh hey its Take Five! a personal faves of mine, though hardly a contest since i dont listen to much jazz, some good edits and chops
2 slow piece, really pretty, feels like night
3 more vivacious jazz! very nice, some interesting edits are made here too, genuinely amazing
4 birds, a nice break

i wanted to talk about this one in particular. its a bunch of jazz tracks, with some tasteful edits, with some added drums at points, some field recording tracks, its just a lovely listen.
i have this one downloaded, listen to it every few days
i suggest you do the same, its completely free.

1 the cleanest moment of the album, where its still possible to hear the synth
2 it keeps pitching down
3 and down
4 down
5 still down
6 falling into nothingness, continually pitching down, at the end, still not reaching complete uniformity, perhaps this release was to last until heat death.

this album is actually really interesting, its very cohesive and feels like one long track, and its name "Entropy" fits it like a glove.
also i have to note the art, something about it is also very, accurate. i could find this in a modern digital museum and not be surprised its named Entropy

1. the titular track is where the main sound of the album originates, a bell-like sound, reminds me of glass resonance for some reason. the track starts with this sound, adding layers of noise, sounding like wooden creaks and metallic scrapes, compounding in a very nice and harsh wall of noise.

first album release! the first track makes a guest appearence in hakita's latest album "Tennis, Everyone?" too!
ill divide the album releases in smaller reviews, with a total overview of the album in the main post, this is an exception. i wont review the second track.
listen to it yourself.

its just, so non-aggressive, its uneasy, has a bit of emotional parts here and there, the noise adds to the title imo, "There Was Nothing We Could've Done" gives me a feeling of "we tried recovering the memory" but the effort produced this glitchy recording
simple and beautiful

009 rh.
and here is the landing, utterly alien and otherwordly
the progression in this track alone is actually fucking amazing
its somehow both caressing and brutal
i find it hard to actually describe these
007 008 and 009 are releases that you need to LISTEN to. do yourself a favor
hmuna.bsky.social
it feels like 007 008 and 009 are meant to be listened to in order, one after the other, feels like story's progression
and also, i find the cover art to be so, entrancing much like the drone itself
its just the endless drifting
hmuna.bsky.social
008 redherring. henceforth shortened to "rh."
this feels a bit both like a continuation of the previous release
this drone is Grand and Great, infinitely dense yet finite, somehow
it has some of my favorite 30 mins of music, fades out real fast
