Yeah, it's annoying how this comic was often taken out of context like that. I always knew it meant "Hey, don't be a dick to people who like things you don't", never "This thing is above criticism".
Like most memes, people forget the full context of "let people enjoy things." It isn't about never critiquing things, it's about not invading someone's space to talk shit and ruin their time.
