Many years ago back in the Tumblr days I had this idea to start a blog called Megafest which would have been a massive poster for an event that had all sorts of ridiculous activities and each post would add on to the bottom of it and it would essentially never end.

I continue to be blown away. So honored that my work has affected so many others ❤️
It's been over 33 years since I lost my dad to cancer. I was 12. This so wonderfully captures what I felt then, and how I still continue to process goodbyes. I'd never realized that was what I was doing until I read this. You have given me so much peace and brought an understanding I didn't even realize I was missing. This is maybe the most comforting thing I've ever seen. Thank you.

The Last Goodbye

Happy belated Nov 1 guys
A jolly looking Santa Claus says, “Mary Christmas”. A person asleep on a table has “ZZZZ” emanating from them. A silhouette of Santa, now furious, yells, “MARY, CHRISTMAS!!!” The person asleep on the table now springs awake and mumbles, “wha”. She has a name tag that reads, “Mary”. Her eyes grow wide as she notices something. There is a desk calendar showing the day to be Nov 1. Mary slams down on a large button on some sort of device which activates a light for “Christmas” with the dates “Nov 1 – Jan 1”. To the left there is another button under a label for “Hanukkah” with the dates “Nov 28 – Dec 6” and to the right there is a button for “Kwanzaa” with the dates “Dec 26 – Jan 1”. An alarm starts blaring “AHOOGA AHOOGA” as a silhouette of Mary stands in surprise. Mary, now looking terrified, says, “It has begun”. We jump to a person sitting quietly at a table holding a cup of coffee and smiling. There is a dark amorphous blob far behind them. The person is still sitting quietly but the blob is closer now. The blob is now directly behind the person and we can see that it is comprised of five nondescript ominous figures. The person, now noticing something is there, turns around with a surprised look on their face. The person cowers in terror as they see the figures. Each one has different text on their torso. One reads, “The Wham Song”. Another, “The Mariah Carey Song”. Still another, “The Trans-Siberian Orchestra One”, followed by “The Paul McCartney Song”, and finally “The One That Feels A Lot Like Sexual Misconduct”.

Breakfast & Lunch
Car drives up to what looks like a diner or restaurant. Person walks up to door and we see that name of the restaurant is “Breakfast & Lunch”. Person walks in. Sign reads, “Please seat yourself”. Person sits down at a booth and sees a menu on table. Person opens menu to read two meal options. Under a Breakfast heading there is “Meat Omlet” and under a Lunch heading there is “Meat Sanwich”. The person lowers menu to see a large man wearing nothing but a greasy apron standing in the shadows. The person says, “Oh, hello there… Um… I guess I’ll have the meat omelet please.” The large man replies, “No eggs.” The person then says, “Uh, okay… I’ll have the meat sandwich then?” The man replies, “No meat.” The person says, “Hmm… okay, well I guess I’ll just go someplace el—” The man interrupts, “Can’t leave.” The man continues, “Door’s locked.” The person stares open mouthed at the man.
