This was my first attempt at any kind of leathercraft, so I’m pretty satisfied with how it turned out overall.

I will be modifying a second metal muzzle from a different brand when it arrives next week, which will hopefully be my *forever muzzle* if I’m happy with how it looks.

It’s also useful to have an awl or something similar to make new holes for a looser fit.

Main issue I had is that the leather across the nose has to be cut away to fit properly, and I still need to add some kind of padding to make it comfortable for long-term wear.

I essentially found a leather mask on Etsy that had the style of straps I wanted.
Pried the rivets apart with thin pliers, then threaded the straps onto the muzzle I had.
Then re-riveted them using some leather rivets from Amazon and a heavier-duty pair of pliers to crush them together.
