Also wanted to point out how graceful and amazing sir Matt was (and still is) when I sent him my weird, overly forward and cringey Notes on DeviantArt fanboying over him and asking how he did roughs and sketches, actually replying to them and helping out, it never occurred to me how rare that is

Pieces like this (and a whole other ones from sir Matt) are the reason why I’m drawing at all, I used to scour his site hoping for more of his work so that I’d print it out on paper to study them and figure out how he did his shapes, expressions, faces, everything, it’s still really impactful to me
