but, when i think of this movie? and the passion that went into it? like, as much as i think the story needed a rewrite, it's like. oh my god. but the animation team made these characters. they are the reason why this movie worked. i guess it's too cumbersome to credit everyone so you credit no one.

this performance straight up made my cry. these women like visibly do not believe this is really happening to them, and they're so excited and honored to be able to present their work like this. this is a shot in the dark success that will financially benefit them for years to come! awesome!

this is always the case, but here it's quite striking? this was a film no one thought would succeed. sony sold it to netflix assuming a theatrical release would be a loss. but surprise! enormous hit! they're even performing the songs on SNL & late night! youtu.be/8y-ViyUk7Dk?...

it's really frustrating how much this was a film that relied so much on the passion and vision of its animators, designers, engineers, etc... and yet. all they get is a bullet point on their resume while the music team is in an industry where royalties, uh, exist?

y'know even if i thought the plot of it was crazy i like that kpop demon hunters became a landmark moment of a thing for children and especially girls are an undeniable cultural force. it's fun to see the voice actresses get their flowers. i also wish. that extended to the animation team. but.
