Water Moon is not a genre I would typically read, but it was a beautifully written book about choices and fate. The world that the author built was intricate and based in Japanese folklore and culture. 💙 #booksky

A powerful, queer coming of age novel that jumps between Alma as a young girl growing up in the looming shadow of a serial killer where she's taught to watch her back from a young age and her struggling with the complexities of that childhood as an adult. #booksky

Last Canada Reads book done and I think this one might have a chance to win! Wow is all I can say Ma-Nee's perseverance and lack of bitterness at the world is truly inspiring 🧡 #booksky

Book 4 of Canada Reads done. This was very much a thriller. If you want a classic, easy thriller this one would be perfect for you. It currently isn't my favourite of the shortlist, but I look forward to see the what the panelists say about this one #booksky

Book 3 from Canada Reads was different from any memoir I've read before. It takes place during a 6 month period when the author is 6/7. It took me a bit to get into it but the more I sit with it the more I really appreciate it 💚 #booksky

Finally back to reading after having a super annoying cold! This is book two off the Canada Reads list for me and I can't see the others beating it. It was such a good read even though everything was kind of ambiguous which honestly probably made me love it more #booksky

Another one done and the first for Canada Reads this year. This was a great look at identity and feeling lost without roots 🌼 #booksky

Another square done! Unfortunately I didn't have any blue to match the cover 😕. I really enjoyed this book and it's depiction of the everyday horrors faced by women #booksky
