@yinyangfooey.bsky.social Thank you for the story.

One request: Would you mind correcting the spelling of my last name?

You have it in your story as H Y R B.

It's actually spelled: H R Y B

Thank you !

As many of you have been with me during my career in gaming, I'd like to share personal news. Like many in the gaming space recently, I've been laid off from Unity

Let's see if 2026 goes better than 2025.

So far I am not confident.

Some sad news. We lost Albert Penello last week.
- Albert was a pillar of gaming at Microsoft and Amazon, a brilliant, trusted voice in our industry, a loyal friend, and most importantly a husband and father who was profoundly loved by his wife, Dara and daughter, Lily.

I'm honored to share that I've been elected Vice-Chair of the Microsoft Alumni Network Board. I'm excited to help guide our work in support of the 290,000+ members of our global community.

Looking forward to what we'll accomplish together.

This BBC podcast is great
www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/w...
A set of episodes on the Cuban missile crisis. It’s with Nina Khrushcheva the great-granddaughter of Nikita Khrushchev & Max Kennedy the nephew of President John F Kennedy, and the son of Robert F Kennedy.

They tell it from both sides.

I’ve been thinking about whether all these ultra-processed flavors have shifted how we register taste. You bite into a real orange and it almost feels off, because the artificial version has been the reference point for so long.

A little Xbox 360 nostalgia for you:
Back in 2005, we had business cards, and these were mine. A few fun details:

My direct phone extension actually spelled Xbox (9269),

When traveling to Japan, I carried special localized cards to present to partners.

20 years ago today Xbox 360 launched. The power was never the console - it was you. You camped out at midnight, built lasting communities, and showed us what gaming could mean. You made that generation endure for two decades. Thank you.

Please to this for Kaylee. Wipr is great and really helps your browsing experience - plus it is continuously updated. Oh and it's buy once, use on all your devices. No IAP or subscription.
Hey!

I don't make Wipr prompt users for reviews 'cause it's annoying! …but this way I get very few reviews 😅

If you have a second, I'd love it if you spontaneously tapped More > About Wipr > Rate 😉

It helps! Thank you~ 💜

It's been an interesting 24-hours in Gaming as I read the previews and debate about the new Steam hardware.

Remember: Not everything needs a winner or loser. Choice is always good.

Game where, how and when you like.

Where YOU find YOUR fun is all that matters. 💚💙❤️🖤

Later this month marks the 20th anniversary of kicking off the HD era with the launch of Xbox 360. Helping build, ship and launch this console was one of ther most magical professional moments of my career. Here are photos of my launch console.

Fun fact: I have NEVER turned this console on.
