Implemented a time-rewind mechanic to restore a broken sign. Added sparks and lighting effects — my first post showing real gameplay!

Thanks for noticing the details! Glad to hear that!
🎬 NG Scene:
The locker opened... even though it was still rusted!

The full game will support English subtitles — so don't worry!
I implemented the "Inspect" feature! Combined with time-rewind, it finally feels like a real game. These two mechanics will be the core of the puzzle-solving experience.

The icon is barely visible on the timeline, haha.
It should be a bit clearer in the actual game, but I'm still tweaking the visibility.
Still working on the UI. Added a tiny micro-interaction that probably no one will notice.
Don't see it? Perfect. 😏

Made a small locker-opening mechanic today. The UI is designed for immersion. Nothing fancy, but moments like this remind me why I love making games.

Thanks! Your comments motivate me to keep going!
Thank you for noticing the small details! I hope so too.
As you said, this city is built from countless little details. I'll keep doing my best!
Two months into learning Unreal Engine, I’m building a puzzle game set in a Japanese back alley.
What once was an empty space has now grown into a small city!

I worked hard on this utility pole, but in-game it’s lost in the shadows. At least the darkness covers up my questionable wiring skills.

This week I focused on props and details — here’s a small alley where key events will unfold.

Getting some Yakuza-style vibes from that second floor… maybe I’ve played too much Like a Dragon.

Dynamic lantern glow and flicker using emissive lighting with UE5's Lumen.

Developing a first-person puzzle game set in the back alleys of Japan, where you solve mysteries by rewinding time.
This week I added more props and a custom LUT to boost the mood.

Emissive in Unreal Engine
Made my own Japanese lantern material.
Created PBR textures in Substance Designer and used Dot Product in Unreal Engine for wrap-around lighting.
Love those moments when tech turns into art.

Yep, it’s using BP Construction Script. I implemented “Add Spline Mesh Component” dynamically, based on segment count and sag variables.
Yeah, I love that game—this project is heavily inspired by it! Thanks!
Exactly! I panicked too, but fixed it by deleting the BP and recreating it 😅
Made power lines with Spline today. At one point I accidentally created an infinite loop in Blueprint and thought UE would never boot again… 😅
But now with vertical and horizontal accents, the alley finally feels more alive.

One month into my first Unreal Engine project. Still a long way to go, but creating a world from scratch is incredibly fun!

Developing a first-person puzzle game set in a looping Japanese back alley, with time-rewind mechanics.
