I agree. I think they are greedy and bad, and deeply imbalanced in their expressions, which was the point of the post.

I think that is true if you look at recent history. Indigenous ways of living and more ancient societies deeply stressed the importance to live in natural balance with the land as to avoid the consequent destruction that comes when any* species gets too greedy.
