I love the Gravel Express.
An early sporting crossover before the term was even coined, the unusually-named Subaru Impreza Sports Wagon Gravel Express (EX) was a Japanese-market special. Shown in this 1995 fold-out brochure, it featured the WRX 220bhp engine with a jacked-up body and various 'lifestyle' features. #weirdcarbs

Tonight (no, really) a Tata Safari! Video live at 6.

Credit to Adrian Flux. Last report on them I was finding it near impossible to speak to a human. Past two calls I've been connected within a minute. Insurance for new car sorted.

If I stare at this washing up for long enough, it'll just vanish right?

The introduction of Femicide laws in Italy is interesting, but would it not be better to try and prevent deaths than further punish those who commit them? I think we dangerously lack discussions of emotion with school kids that I'm sure could help here.

Turns out a leaky Saab is not the perfect winter daily. Who knew? I've bought a new thing and on Thursday night, I'll reveal what's going on with the Saab. It'll be different that's for sure! It may be an utter disaster. Who knows?

Thrilling head to head coming soon! Polish babies compared. Beautiful day for it.

Sugar tax being applied to milkshakes now. BALLS. Why can't more companies be like Coca Cola? On the rate occasion I have a soda, I'll pay extra for a Coke with no sweeteners in it. No problem! But nobody else really does this, so the only alternative is water.

Bit embarrassing. Was wondering if we were likely to get another CJ Sansom novel. Unlikely. He died last year...

Without manufacturer confirmation of build date, this will not be easy to register. What an oddball though!
A really solid bit of #weirdcarbs #rarebutnobodycares. A DFSK Glory! Forsale in Grimsby, which seems appropriate.

Arguably the oddest-looking Suzuki of its era was the short-lived, Japan-only 3rd-generation Cervo kei car. The 1988 brochure featured sections of rather bizarre English text: 'Wow, look at this rear styling! Don't you just want to hug it... Suzuki sure knows what every girl wants'. #weirdcarbs

Celebrating the most successful month on HubNut ever - Ford Ka salvage buy and Standard Atlas test drive the strongest videos. Love that two such diverse vehicles are at the head of this success.

Tonight's video will be a test of a brand new car - albeit a brand new car that had already covered 11,000 miles! The UK best-selling Ford Puma.

A random research rabbit hole led me to this, a Tasmanian Mini Moke that was converted into a van to deliver mail.

Brilliant. And big up the Weird Car Collective whichever platform we are on.
Look, I'm going to make Weird Car Bluesky a thing if it kills me and takes all y'all's with it.

Anyway, here's not just a Subaru Vivio, but the retro-themed Bistro version. I suspect this is the same person who also owns a Vivio T-top in my neighborhood.

Out on the town last night with two 18 year olds. Felt my age somewhat. We went to one venue that was loudly playing all the music I used to listen to on my Friday night's out. Almost 30 years ago. Sheesh. Anyway, great to see Little Miss HubNut is doing so well at uni. She's loving it.

Someone kicking off because I hadn't replied to their comment on a video. HubNut currently attracts over 1300 comments per week. And I DO spend way too much time trying to read every one of them. It's just impossible.

I was just pondering what car I would actually like to own next. Finding it hard to think of one. I'd like big car comfort but not a big car. Competent, but not deadly dull Is there a modern equivalent of a Citroën GSA?
