When I was in middle school, I had to spend the summers in North Carolina with my dad. It was awful, but everyday I could turn on WGN and watch the Cubs. Rooting for them, especially Ryne Sandberg, provided joy and made me a lifelong Cubs fan. I feel like I lost a cherished friend. RIP

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't need to justify your reading preferences and choices to anyone. Audiobooks count as reading. Also, you don't have to finish books you don't enjoy. Don't read to impress, read for yourself. Life's too short, love yourself, ok?
