Attended my first protest ever today at the #NoKings event in my sleepy little town. Lots of drivers honked in support and I met many fellow patriots in my community. My favorite sight was an old lady in a walker waving a “f*ck Trump” flag. Wish I’d brought my phone to take pics. My sign:

It might feel good to make snarky comments but the mission is to win the hearts and minds of those who are unaware now and undecided in the next election. We want people to see us at the protests or in images and think, “I believe what they believe. These people are just like me.”

You can do what you want. But we all have to come together to save the country, and we’re more likely to succeed if we are working off the same game plan. Personally I think waving other flags besides the US one puts the groups represented by those flags at greater risk, but you do you.

They seek to divide us and convince the people who aren’t politically knowledgeable that these protests are small and instigated by fringe groups. Part of our job at the protest is to get others to see the danger of this admin to ALL AMERICANS. Hence, if you wave a flag, make it 🇺🇸. /end

Wave a pride flag and the admin will paint the protest as angry lgbqt and Tran’s tantrum. Wave a Palestinian flag and they will say it’s a pro-Hamas riot. Wave and Israel flag and they will say it’s funded by globalist elites.

It is safer for you as a protester to leave incendiary flags at home. It makes your protesting more effective and more persuasive to wave the American flag. The optics of the protest are important.
