Time to light the afterburners, some Miles, 'Black Beauty, Miles Davis at Fillmore West' (1973, 1997 Hi-Res), originally recorded in 1970, blistering set hot on the heels of Bitches Brew and Jack Johnson. Intense, superb freewheeling jazz/rock fusion 😎

Ghost Rhythms, 'Live at Yoshiwara' (2019, CD). A live album in front of a small audience in a place that isn't Yoshiwara ... but imagining it to be so. Another dream like concept from GR always pushing at ways to have their sound influenced and presented in different ways 😎

Excellent new album run through from Ghost Rhythms, 'Missing Times' due to be recorded in the studio in December and released next year on Cuneiform label. Sounds excellent to these ears 😎

50 years ago today I went see the amazing #BlueÖysterCult at Hammersmith Odeon. Here's the opening page of my BÖC scrapbook with ticket and advert. Along with the return train ticket for £5.17. I posted photos from the 75 gig back in May. The autographs are from Bristol 2019

Nice chilled release from Fabrizio Paterlini, ‘Layers’ (2025, Tidal Hi-Res). Haven’t played anything of his for some time and need to catch up with recent releases, this being latest. Piano, electronics, strings, all well composed and tastefully presented 😎
