Renaming today the 10th of Smocktober. Main camo patterns blocked in. Webbing and headgear next. Then weapons and skin. And then the oilwashing and funtimea really begins.

Progress.... of sorts. Denison smocks blocked in, patterns next then webbing. Trousers based, puttees/gaiters and boots to do. Plenty of work left but batch painting in a flow state is fun.

The pump is real. I'm helping Joe on with his What A Tanker table so will pop over to say hi!

All the @hicksy.bsky.social sculpted arnhem heroes I have (bar the 17pdr which quite frankly scares me) starting to be put together into sections. Gives me a shopping list for Partizan - needs me some more rifles, brens and stens.

Such good sculpting... been browing the range. Must resist spending all of my cash.

Oh christ yes they are....

Ooo. Nice. Good potential here for Silver Bayonet additionals.

Ah thanks! I glue to a 2mm mdf 25mm base, cover with vallejo texture, then use modgepodge in places and dip in a basing mix that has frankly loads of random bags of stuff inc some static grass. Then tufts and flowers. Flowers I think always make them pop and anchor them into terrain.

See you there if you make it!

It's such a great club! Paths will definitely cross I reckon as I'll see you at Partizan and Warfare if you're there? Helping Joe run his What A Tanker table. Have a great weekend yourself!

More than a little. It might be due an honourable discharge soon.

Ruislip RFC - I have been coaching with my eldest sons minis for last 3 years. He's now in u12s. Chesham is a lovely place - been through it on my bike a few times. Pain getting up onto the Chilterns from Harefield but definitely worth it.

The viking victrix are really nice. Definitely heroic 28mm. And they could get better with build instructions for sure. But I think they get just the right amount of detail and flexibility in. Pillage has strong potential for fun I think.

Next project on the table... Empress Miniatures' Arnhem Heroes sculpted by @hicksy.bsky.social. Time to get out the rattle cans and prime these fellas up...

And thank you for the kind words!

I do. I like the narrative ability that ypu can generate with a campaign. Some rules I'd change to make it more an IGYG but it seems to be fluid and plenty of depth. And I'm a sucker for this period anyhow.

First small viking warband for Pillage complete... a few more minis built but need *all* the work doing on them.

Pleasure! Love painting your miniatures - so full of life and character no matter what setting.
