My Final Fantasy Tactics playthrough so far: My dragoon just had her helmet and armor broken by an enemy knight. I cannot get replacement gear in any nearby cities. In order to get new gear, I have to go through two back-to-back fights without her.

So, pretty normal so far.

Regardless, I'll see if I can hone in on the previously mentioned archetypes over time to make something I am satisfied with.

And something not too heavy on UR cards.

A possible 3rd approach would entail establishing a theme right away. Examples:
- Hybrid mana cost cards
- Pauper/Commons only
- Creatureless

Of those, the Pauper/Commons is totally feasible and I'd just take someone else's list. But I would like to make something personal.

Not exactly original archetypes, but I took strategies I like and assigned them somewhere. The tricky thing for me is that I am trying to find some overlap between pairs to better facilitate different options while drafting. Some archetypes, like Lands and Mill, don't really have that.

Approach 2 seems to be taking a lot more thinking than I was expecting.

Here's what I got:

WU - Artifacts
UB - Mill
BR - Burn/Chaos
RG - Lands
GW - Lifegain
WB - Enchantments
UR - Spellslinger
BG - Counters
RW - Modified Aggro
GU - Poison

So, I was taking two approaches to developing my own Cube.

1) Pick out all the cards I think are cool.
2) Come up with archetypes pee color pair and pick cards that fit.

Approach 1 proved my biases and would've turned it into a "Red+" Cube. Not that this is bad, but not what I wanted at this time.

Currently theorycrafting a Cube for MTG. Never did one before and it seems like a fun challenge to create a personalized Limited environment.

Fun night. Not sure when I will host another game night, but I'd like to have some new decks to play around with.

The last game was a 3 player game up one player had to leave mid game so it was a 1v1. Caesar vs. Oji (me). I was playing another PDH deck and it did quite well. I was able to find the right cards to shut down my opponent. Ended the game with 54 life and never had less than 5 cards in hand.

The next game was a 6 player one. Chatterfang, Kaalia, Y'shtola, Mothman, Cloud, and Torbran (me). I decided to play Torban to help speed up the game.

Well, it did! People were none too pleased with my nonsense, but the game was just about anyone's. Lots of fun cards and plays. 10/10 game.

I am considering breaking down the deck since it wasn't really doing much and overlaps with another deck I have. Cloud ended up winning pretty handily.

Hosted another MTG night. 6 players, two main games and one smaller game. The first games were split, so two pods of 3. The pod I was in consisted of Chatterfang, Tor Wauki the Younger (me), and Cloud, Midgar Mercenary.

I was running a PDH deck and I was mana flooded.

I took a different approach with this. Instead of plotting or planning anything, I just winged it the entire time. Also avoided using black inks this time.
