#BACO2025: Great science, good networking and very friendly atmosphere! We were warmly welcomed here in Busan, Republic of Korea, by the local organizers. We arranged a special session marking the 🏔❄️ #Glaciers2025 and had a plenary meeting & ECR lunch. IACS also arranged its annual meeting.

The Graham Cogley award is given by IACS to two students to recognize an oral and a poster presentation of exceptional quality at an IACS Assembly (held every two years). At #BACO2025 the awardees were Jung Hyun Park and Kai Man. Read about award & awardees: cryosphericsciences.org/awards/graha...

The Karthaus 2025 Summer School on Ice Sheets and Glaciers in the Climate System took place on 19-29 May in Karthaus, Italy. IACS was one of the sponsors. Totally 36 students and 10 teachers participated representing 30 institutes & 15 different countries.

IACS is pleased to announce 2025 recipients of IACS Eary Career Scientist (ECS) Award: Marie Bouchet & Giacomo Traversa.
